Resisting the temptation of surfing the Internet when I do assignments is my new semester resolution. As a result of surfing the Internet for fun at work time, I got poor grades last semester and felt shameful with that. Consequently, learning how to conquer the temptation of Internet at work time is essential, and I believe I would profit from the resolution.
When I was working, I wasted time doing irrelevant trifles such as chatting on MSN and using Facebook. I have to admit that chatting on MSN was my Achilles’ heel. I was addicted to chatting on MSN; therefore, I was always unaware that the time slipped unconsciously. Besides, I used Facebook frequently to browse friends’ message and play games; however, I was incapable to help myself but stick to the game world. Undoubtedly, spending too much time on Internet at work time made me lose the ability in taking advantage of time.
In order to get rid of the temptation of Internet when I am working, I will try two methods to improve this vicious circle. The first is going to McDonald to do computer-needed assignments. In McDonald, I will be unable to surf the Internet; consequently, I may concentrate on finishing the assignments. The second priority is finishing assignments at school workroom. Although I can use Internet there, the atmosphere is tense and competitive; therefore, I may devote myself to approach my works efficiently. With the two “antidotes”, I may quit the shortcoming and develop the willpower step by step.
Although fulfilling not-to-surf-on-Internet-for-fun-at-work-time resolution is difficult, it is time to start. After finding my new semester resolution and the solutions, I determine to perform the plans written above. If I could obey perfectly, I believe I can achieve what I want ─ making good use of time when I am working.
